I don't necessarily disagree.

Well, they are still trying to move Lieber for bullpen help, but it's hard to be optimistic that it will happen at this point.

If they can't move Lieber, then bringing in Eaton doesn't seem to really help the team at all this year.

Yep, the Phillies are the most shrewd of all MLB teams, aren't they?
Well, uh, no. But, Cheez has some pretty good points there. It should be a breakout season for the Phillies.

They came within 2 games of the playoffs last season....which event someone here predicted they would do at mid season....and showed a good combination of veteran and new talent. Utley and Ryans are names that will be heard frequently in many All Star games for years to come.

Compared to the Cubs organization, they are light years ahead.

Who the hell is Ryans?

heh heh---why you giving prince a hard time

Perhaps Wood won't make it to Opening Day without going on the DL after all. I may have to adjust my prediction.

My proposal:

We choose an odd number of statistical categories, and each put up the person from our team we expect to do the best in said category. Whichever player does the best in that statistic scores a point for their side.
Most points wins 15 bucks.

that is a fantastic idea
3/8/2007 2:55 PM
Okay, how many categories, and which ones?
3/8/2007 2:56 PM
HRs and Wins would be obvious ones.
