In terms of who will get the most wins? I beg to differ. They were tied until last night.

Zambrano is clearly the better pitcher, has been all season, and yet their records are almost identical, because wins and losses have as much or more to do with how your team hits when you pitch.

I think that's the category bret's most likely to win, because I think Zambrano wins 20 if he stays healthy. But Kendrick has 8 wins now, and is pitching much better than he was at the start of the season, so I would be surprised to see him win 16+

When you make the switch, you note the earned runs allowed and innings pitched at that point for both players. You get the earned runs and innings from the first guy up until now, and from the second guy from now on, and then add them and calculate the combined ERA. You'd need enough total innings that they would qualify for the ERA title if one pitcher had them all (I believe that's 162, or 1 per game)

at time of move, Zambrano had 10 Ws

Lily (108K)is moving to Ks

at time of move, Hill had 15Ks

Zambrano (2.84, 120.1 IP & 38ER) is now ERA.

at time of move, Lily had 115.1 IP & 60ER)

TBD- it's too early for math

Ks is a lost cause but the other two switched might help

You need to also record what the person coming into the spot had.

In order to hedge against Myers never returning...

I will replace Brett Myers in Ks (88) with Jamie Moyer (70).
