ALCS opponent will be the Boise Browncoats. Boise is the defending world champions (albeit under a different owner), won 118 games this season (thus having the best record in baseball by 15 games over the next best team). Oh, and my Flytraps beat them in the final game we played against them this season. The significance of that win was it was the ONLY win against Boise we had all season (1-9 on the year). I think we just have to hope to not be completely embarrassed....

If I didnt have a free season coming if Mike wins a championship, I would be redlining him.

You know you love it. Inevitably, I will lose the series and you'll have won at least two. Then I will be forced to STFU and leave this thread alone.

BREAKING NEWS: Low A Championship

With all the focus on today's start of the ALCS, big news also comes from the Low A Flytraps. They just brought home a World Series title of their own, winning the Series 4 games to 1 over Baltimore.

Post #4000:
Flytraps get crushed in Game 4 - swept by a clearly superior Boise team. But, all in all, it was a solid season highlighted by a great playoff run, knocking a pair of 103 win teams out of the postseason. And given the youth of my team, the solid pitching from what appears to now be three top-line starters (given how well Martin pitched in the postseason), one of the best closers in the league in Gandarilla, and a farm system that is starting to build its depth up (highlighted by that Low A World Series crown), and at least one legitimate offensive superstar in Virgil Rodriguez (if he boosts his batting average 10-20 points, he could be an MVP candidate next season), I see no reason that we won't make a run at the regular season division crown and have a shot at another deep playoff run not only next season, but for years to come.
See you next season!

This thread should be stickied immediately to be honest. It has helped me a great deal in my ~1.5 seasons.

Actually I was considering reformatting the info from here into a blog one of these days -- of course who knows when that will happen.
