It IS Babe Ruth, I am looking it over, I just got home an hour or so ago and got kids to attend to. I am looking at the depth of the draft over now. Hang tight

Certainly a characteristic of a good owner-gives himself time to make an evaluation-And Thanks for the Reminder-I'll Post our Roster Page

Ending todays rumors, The Babe is once again staying put. espnjunkie made me an offer that made my jaw drop, and I am sure no one could match it. But I just cant move him. Babe Ruth is staying put.
Also kudos to espnjunkie for making a such a real offer, this was a Herschel Walker to the Vikings type offer guys, he was giving me the farm. I may regret it as the draft unfolds, only time will tell

do u mind telling us what it was?

I can understand BoomDaddy sticking with the Babe all the way and espnjunkie's strong desire to acquire him-The Babe's numbers just blow you away-Those stats jump off the screen at you.
9/26/2007 12:18 AM
Well, hopefully espnjukie doesnt mind me telling, but he offered me Hank Aaron and his 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and next years 1st rounder for Ruth and my 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and next years 2nd rounder.
Just typing it makes me want to pull the trigger, but again its BABE RUTH - I just cant.
If anything posting this will give us something to debate about, you can all say I am nuts for not taking it or call espnjunkie crazy for making the offer. Either way, Babe is staying in Milwaukee.
And for the record, the sticking point for me wasnt the picks, I just didnt like Aaron as my cornerstone guy to build around.

Well I gave it my best shot... Only time will tell on what have could of been. Im confident Henry Aaron wont let me down.

A fascinating case study-I want to thank both owners BoomDaddy and espnjunkie for sharing this, with the rest of us. I know for myself, the opportunity to kind of get inside the head of other owners and compare notes has helped me enormously, in being able to be competitive, at this game.
