Not exactly fair to Raycroft ... it's more the Leafs alleged team defense that sucks. Rayzer's actually been playing not too badly - not "great" like we have become accustomed to in Toronto - but not too badly.

Hopes for Bergeron's return are dim. Package up Manny and Glen Murray (now that he has shown a little life) and get a decent scoring forward. I see the Bruins deny they are shopping for one, that should be confirmation that they are

I think with the exception of getting Luongo it doesn't matter who you bring in until you get the team playing good D. I think the B's and Leaf's goalie problems are in large part due to how poorly the team in front of them plays.

They have the 3rd worst PK in the NHL. They are giving up the 3rd most shots per game in the NHL. I'd work on defense first.

Lucic is awesome, give him some time. I watched him play on his old team ( giants) He was awesome. Give him some time to adjust. He's already throwing monser hits.

I'm sure Lucic will make a great 2nd or 3rd liner someday. However, one great year in juniors does not mean he'll be a superstar. This team needs offense, defense, and goaltending. They've got a couple of very good players and a bunch of 4th liners. Barring major changes, this team will NOT make the playoffs.

ya, playoffs are out of the question, but I beg to differ with your 3 rd line statment. I think he will make a great second liner or good first liner. Wait and see. He has it all, skill,( not as much as crosby), grit and deterination.

I agree SAK that they need to find a way to cut down on the shots allowed, but if Timmy Thomas can hold teams 2 to 3 goals a game while facing 40 shots a game, I wouldn't mind seeing them try and get a goal scorer to maybe try and score more than one goal a game.
