Pretty tough to blame Timmy when you have both Ward and Alberts out. The D is not even giving Thomas a chance, leaving him high and dry way too often. You can't continue to play Chara and Wideman at close to half the game and not expect breakdown defensively

The fact that we have to rely on Aaron Ward and Andrew Alberts speaks volumes about the "defense" on this team.

It killed me to see Alberts stink up the joint night after night last season while Mark Stuart was languishing in Providence.

Alberts might not be spectacular, but at least he could log some time to cut down on Chara's ice time. When Chara was playing in the low 20s per game in the early season, he was much more lively and effective. I see we traded Bochenski to the Ducks for a D-Man, Hopefully it doesn't backfire

Sign that traffic cone, cause the Bs need someone to cut down Chara's ice time. As for trades backfiring, no, that has never happened in Boston
