Three INTs of Philip Rivers (two of them pick-sixes) help make up for some otherwise horrible defense and the Packers win at San Diego 45-38. Packers had a 21 point lead with 8ish minutes left but then surrendered two quick touchdowns (the second after San Diego recovered an onside kick) to make it interesting again.

I hope Green Bay keeps home field throughout the playoffs, because the 49ers have a 0.001% chance of beating Green Bay in good weather.

And much better chance (at least 10%) of beating them in a driving snowstorm at Lambeau in January.

I cant really see any team beating the Packers right now. people are talking Giants ? i cant see it

I don't think anyone will beat the Packers, but I love people who insinuate that a game at Lambeau in January would be a lock for the Pack against the 49ers.  Cold weather games tend to turn into defensive battles with lots of running and pounding the ball.  If that's the case, the 49ers would have a huge advantage in a cold weather game.

JT...  re-read the post you put up there.

He was saying that the 49ers are MORE likely to win in Lambeau.  In good weather, the Packers would throw all over them, and the running and defensive minded Niners would be at a disadvantage.

Way more likely...  lol I didnt catch that at first.  10,000 times as likely.  From 0.001% chance to 10%

I know, I wasn't disagreeing with him.  I was speaking about all the "experts" who are saying the 49ers are dead if they don't get home field advantage.
12/2/2011 1:03 PM
Are people saying that??  Then you would be correct.  because the ONLY way that the Packers don't beat the Niners is to have the Niners defense hold the Packers to 20 points.  And the most likely scenario of that happening is inclement weather.  Which is far more likely in January in Green Bay Wisconsin than in Northern California.  The Lions held the Packers to a paltry 7 points at halftime of their game on Thanksgiving, and yet the Packers still managed 27 for the game (24 at the end of the 3rd quarter when the game was basically over at 24-0).  27 points represents more than anyone in the NFL scores on average other than the Saints (32.9), Patriots (30.1) and the Lions (28.7).  In addition, the Packers have been held to 24 or less points in a game this season exactly ONCE.  And it was 24.  And it was by the RAMS in a game the Packers were winning 24-0 at halftime and packed it in during the 2nd half.  So...  yeah.  Good Luck SF.  Pray for snow in Lambeau.  You can't stop Rodgers and the Packers, but maybe God can.
