Packers cut third-string QB Graham Harrell, apparently hoping to stash him on the practice squad for another season, as part of their final cutdown to a 53-man roster. FB Quinn Johnson (Tennessee) and rookie OL Caleb Schlauderaff (Jets) were traded for draft picks.

Packers may not be done tinkering, as they kept only eight offensive linemen.

All five TEs on the roster survived the cuts. Three undrafted rookies made the team.

Packers are reportedly interested in Andre Gurode, formerly of the Dallas Cowboys, although Gurode has worked out for divisional rival Lions. Leonard Davis, another former Cowboy, said through his agent he has recieved a call about joining the Pack.

DE Mike Neal, expected to help replace Cullen Jenkins' inside pass rush on the line, had surgery on his troublesome knee this week and will miss "significant" time, according to Mike McCarthy. He was not put on the IR. Best guess is that there was some cartilage damage.
