I’m going to join in a rock ’n’ roll band
I’m going to camp out on the land
I’m going to try an’ get my soul free
We are stardust
We are golden
And we’ve got to get ourselves
Back to the garden

Then can I walk beside you
I have come here to lose the smog
And I feel to be a cog in something turning
Well maybe it is just the time of year
Or maybe it’s the time of man
I don’t know who l am
But you know life is for learning
We are stardust
We are golden
And we’ve got to get ourselves
Back to the garden

By the time we got to woodstock
We were half a million strong
And everywhere there was song and celebration
And I dreamed I saw the bombers
Riding shotgun in the sky
And they were turning into butterflies
Above our nation
We are stardust
Billion year old carbon
We are golden
Caught in the devil’s bargain
And we’ve got to get ourselves
Back to the garden

Older than most ; saw Scott's no-no in 86 to clinch pennant, saw Bonds # 600 HR, A-Rod # 500 and had Haray Carey announce my son and my presence @ Cub game ; 4 kids , one in minors ( LHP ) and 2 in college . Rationale to wife re: playing WIS - I could be sitting in a bar.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA -- 1952...

My father took me to my first game in 1960. Bob Gibson was in town. I couldn't believe my eyes.

A few months later, my father's boss gave him tickets to Game 7 of the World Series.

You've never seen an 8-year-old kid so psyched!

Hours before the game, my dad's boss "demanded" the tickets back, so he could take an "important" client, instead.

I learned the cruel realities of life at an early age!!!

Saw Stargell's final game, too.

I'm 43, married, with two grown daughters. I saw my first game in Fenway in 1974. I'm glad I've seen the Sox win two titles. Now, if I can just get my current team to win on the road, and keep my wife from bothering me while I'm trying to add/drop.
