I just turned 44 last month. My dad(who's still living) took me to my first baseball game when I was 5. Aug 12,1964,White Sox at Yankees. Mel Stottlemyre's first game. Also that day(which I don't remember but have read about it since) Mantle hit a tape measure home run. Now for the weird part-there are 2 guys who work in my office,who are about my age,who also went to that same game(so they tell me,and I have no reason not to believe them).

I'm 29. THe first 5 Indians games that I attended between '84-'86 were without a homer from either team. That would be an impossibility these days.

I'm 50 next week. My dad took me to a Dodger game at the LA Coliseum in 1960. The Dodgers beat the Pirates 6-4. Wally Moon hit one of his "moon-shot" homers over the "Chinese Wall" in right field. (The baseball diamond was in the west end of the Coliseum, and right field was demarcated by a tall mesh 'wall'.)

The one thing I missed out -- my dad wouldn't let me fold newspaper pages into paper planes and float them onto the field like (it seemed) just about everybody else!

I am 45, single, a Leo and I like to take long romantic walks on the beach crushing turtle eggs.
