I know I'm dreaming but I would love to see Homer pull off a surprise trade for Stamkos (since TB is so far out of the race).  Say Briere, Bob, and two 1st rounders. It would all hinge on Brieres health status but 2012 would look like this (resigning Jagr, Carle, and Voracek - Assuming Pronger done for career) with $3 million in cap space:

Seems good to me, except the part about resigning Jagr. With him being injured lately, I don't think that he's gonna play another year, so here's my roster prediction for next year if we do the Stamkos deal:

Voracek has looked much better since the winter classic and really good tonight.  He's finally using his size and throwing some big hits.  That size and speed could equate to some big numbers if he continues to use it. 

Read scores his rookie leading 16th goal on a nice turnover created by him.  

Schenn has been really solid since the winter classic as well.  now 7 points... and seems he averages about 5 hits/game since then.  Nice to see him starting to play to expectations.  

Simmonds.. what can I say.  AWESOME player - I hope we can lock him up long term at some point next season.  Awesome game tonight.  


We really made out like bandits trading Carter and Richie for Simmonds, Schenn, Couturier, and Voracek.

oh -  Flyers acquired Matt Ford (RW - 6'1", 207 lbs) from the caps AHL team today for Adirondack Dman Kevin Marshall.  Marshall wasn't bad... hopefully Ford will make an impact at some point... soon.   He's 27.

nabokov.... 45 saves.  unreal.  I think we outshot NYI something like 45 to 20ish.... and Bryz can't stop a shot in the shootout.  Go figure.
