Apparently unable to find a closer job on the open market, K-Rod accepted arbitration from the Brewers. That's a big chunk of change for a setup guy (he figures to make at least $11M in 2012).

Some good news, though: YuniB will not be back! Brewers sign Alex Gonzalez to play short.

Braunie reportedly tested positive for abnormal (and synthetically produced) testosterone; Braun apparently appealing the result through arbitration in part with a second test that was negative.

Good luck with that, I guess.

Reports are that the Brewers have agreed to a 3-year deal with Aramis Ramirez.

This does not really seem like a good move to me.

According to K-Rod closers are worth just as much as elite hitters, so it sounds like you got a bargain!

3x12 for Ramirez seems fine to me. Career .280.340.500 hitter. Odd that he didn't want to stay with the Cubs after refusing to be traded.
