have they told Keon you can't steal first base yet?

After a brief break from the primary goal of tanking the season to take two of three from the Cubs, the Brewers got back on course in New York this weekend, dropping all three games to the Mets. Domingo Santana was placed on the DL with his shoulder problem (doesn't affect his hitting but does affect his throwing) and Keon Broxton was brought back up, giving the Crew a roster with four center fielders and Ryan Braun (who has missed most of the last week with wrist and back issues) as the outfield group. The team is having trouble scoring runs. Go figure!

PED testing has killed the Brewers.

Star Wars Day goes well for the Crew, as they destroy the Mets 7-4 behind struggling Wily Peralta, who hit one of the Brewers' five homers.

Opening Day starter Wily Peralta was optioned to AAA Colorado Springs to make room for Matt Garza, who is momentarily healthy and will reportedly take the mound Tuesday night as the Brewers play in Frisco to start the week. Best case scenario for the Brewers is that Garza stays healthy for the next six weeks and pitches competently, possibly allowing him to be dealt at the deadline to some team desperate for a starting pitcher.

More likely scenario is that he blows out an elbow or knee before July arrives and needs a year of rehab.

keep the druggie...we don't want him.

Well, your own druggie is retired....

"John Kruk thinks Ryan Braun is exactly what the Giants and their ailing lineup needs."

what does John Kruk know? He's a fat, useless, ex-Phillie.
Also, our druggie was much better than your druggie

Reports are that the Brewers have traded reliever Will Smith to the Giants for Susac and Bickford. Smith opted against surgery for his knee earlier this year, so hopefully he passes his physical.

Lucroy still a Brewer at the moment after he vetoed a trade to Cleveland this weekend. Possibly something going with Texas but the Rangers seem to be the only suitor left.

Lucroy and Jeremy Jeffress to the Rangers for two of their top 5 prospects (Brinson and Ortiz), reportedly. Somewhat surprisingly, it doesn't appear that Gallo is part of the deal. May be more details to come.

don't know much about Bickford, but Susac shows promise. Not a bad return for a reliever who is having a mediocre, at best, season
