I see. Your feeble attempts at one-upsmanship are on par with a few other select posters on this site and you share a common thread with them:

YOU BROACH ISSUES THEN YOU DO NOT BACK THEM UP. Your subtle misdirection here is nothing more than a power play in your own f'n mind bro.

If you want to back out, then back out.

If you said it must be true. Back out? - Again, no frickin' way, I've never said a word about backing out, it seems like you are hoping I want to back out. Sorry, but I'm seeing this thing through. And if you win, I'll congratulate you and send you the dough pronto, and I'm sure I'll never hear the end of it. And if you lose, well.....we'll just see what happens at that time.

They're both good bets and will make the upcoming season that much more interesting. Now, of course I'll be calling Mauer's hotel room at 3am when he's in Chicago and I'll be rooting for Peavy to bean him, but that's another story.

Well, I enjoy the bet as well. Should be interesting.

As far as payment: I owe you no quarter, explanation, or assurances. F*ck yourself.

Figures.

Yes. Figures is an apt description.

I (as skonley), unfoundingly question money for no other reason than the fact that I don't have enough brain cells to match wits with any of the posters in this thread, then get told to f myself.

Figures.

Umm okay, it sure takes a lot of wit to say go f*ck yourself doesn't it?
3/27/2010 1:10 AM
Almost as much as it takes to say "get over yourself" when you're apparently out of dumb things to say.

Going to be 27.

That's what makes the whole questioning of his contract outrageous to me- he already has 3 batting titles. If he merely keeps up what he has already accomplished, also given his status in Minnesota as another factor, he is worth the money.

3 batting titles, an MVP and still better than average D for a Catcher that's still 26 and entering his prime (27-30).....and a local legend. Contract makes perfect sense.

I bet his power stay in the 25-30 range now in his prime...with the potential to be around 35. If he becomes a DH in the tail end of the contract, but he still hits how he's hittign now, the contract is still justified.

Well rsp, Mauer socked 28 bombs last year and The Taint brought it to my attention that 16 were to the opposite field.

I believe 30 is attainable. His biggest hurdle will be playing 130+ games...
