On the Met broadcast Keith Hernandez said "The Cubs are just lifeless." I have to agree. How did Soriano's skills to downhill so fast?

Hendry gave him $136M reasons to never push himself again. If he feels healthy, he can still hit. If not, he's gonna coast. He's never gonna be a good fielder or have any sort of clue what it takes to play fundamental baseball.

He is what he is at this point...a one-dimensional player that when hot can carry a team for weeks. When he's not, he's basically useless.

I wish a flyball would land on his face the next time he does that stupid phucking hop... I still don't understand why they allow him to do that. He's hit the ball the last coupla days, but he has looked overmatched in the vast majority of his ABs... I think the days of him carrying the team are long-gone.

DFA Soriano; they have to pay him anyway, no one's going to take that contract, might as well have him somewhere he can do some good - off the team.

Send Samardjzia back to Notre Dame and let him get ready for the NFL draft.

When the last time Sorryano carried the team for weeks? They need to eat about 80% of that contract and ship him back to the Amercian League.

2008 was the last time. He was hurt pretty much all year in '09 and never got hot.

While I'm sure the team will eat a great deal of the contract sooner or later, it aint gonna happen this year or likely next. I figure when the Ricketts family gets their own handle on the organization, they'll find the cash to dump him one way or another.
