Shtickless - Unless Being Dead Is A Shtick Topic

It's really more like nepotism got this job me.  Writing samples aren't a problem, as long as there's no statute of limitations imposed on their acceptability.

Hopefully, the hospital offers me something worth taking short term, so I can take my time searching for something better if needed.  I'd rather not get backed into a kamikaze search where I have to take the first thing I get offered, but it could go that way quickly.

I should get a couple of type Bs in KP. Funny thing is, Crosby finished 2nd in batting and 1st in sb each of the first 2 seasons, isnt even worthy of a type B. I will re-sign him at 4 mil. I was overloaded with average SPs and in the bullpen, so I can afford to let those pitchers go.

Hate to admit, but the cap is becoming a bit of an issue..nothing too restrictive, but I will have to let my decent RF walk instead of paying him his 8 mil +. That wil put me about 10 mil under the cap and should allow me to get the couple of complimentary pieces I want in FA and give me some trade flexibility.
:)

I will have both College and HS scouting maxed, training maxed, return every starter except for one, my entire rotation and setup staff and still have 16 million to play with on the market...  and I won the first two WS.

Your strategy is awesome though.

one page resumes are only good if you are right out of college. You should have at least a two pager these days.
Concur
Pretty sure most places throw the second page out.

One page is still pretty standard I think.

Is there a legit shot you will be out of work for a while?

I've got a good team with some pieces in place. I'm looking at being a year in and year out playoff team by my third season. That trade for SP ike traded away some strong young talent unfortunately.

Guess it depends on the role. Entry-level might be one page. Tm has 10 years of work experience and mediocre accomplishments to put on paper... hard to do on one page. That said.. if you do two pages you better fill the second page. It looks pretty bad to have your lifestyle work only fill a half page

******* phone... lifestyle = life's work
10/19/2010 12:26 PM
life's work work?

Would you believe me if I blamed the phone again?

Probably not. You should go with the booze this time.

and by acceptable, you mean;  grammur, not overusing punctuation, content and ease of read?

Did your doctor retire/move or something TM?
