How bad is the team that is available?  If it becomes a huge issue, I would consider swapping franchises if it meant we could get a good, longterm owner.
You know part of you is intrigued by the option of playing in a league with the AL elite.
There is no elite in $.  It isn't like the NL in HR.

It would be fun to be in the AL and both teams are roughly in the same place.  Lots of money, both need a rebuild, only a couple talented players in the pipe.

Would only really be worth moving if it got us a badass owner though.

I don't know if there are any badass owners though that would push me to make a similar move, not after having so many years building that one team. I become attached.

I understand your point.

I have some attachment to the wins/playoff performances but not much else...  outside of a couple players per world, my teams are always built with short term pieces so I don't build up a lot of attachment.

Take it from someone who did that, i wish I had stayed in the AL instead of watching thewheaties destroy a 105 win franchise.
