If I weren't so damned impatient, I could've let you sleep and maybe gotten Muhlstein and Dacres back for the opener.

Oops. Rare tactical mistake on my part.

Your impatience is very contagious, to me anyway.  There has been more offseason chatter than we've had in a long time.  My only motivation for delaying the new season would have been my injured guys.

I may go visit Damned later today at thenhlarena.com/ and see about rustling up some players. I won't know any of them well, but they'll be off-the-trolley hockey nuts, mostly Canadians. They may be inclined to stick with it.

I'm thinking I could use as a pitch that there'll be 10 established teams, and 10 new teams, like the original NHL expansion. Almost like two divisions. Give the new guys something to play for anyhow. Finishing 11th would be like winning a division title.

Whaddya think?

Framing it as a 10 team expansion is clever and should appeal to junkies.  Just be sure they understand there are no actual divisions. 


And while it would be great to fill one or the other, encourage them to try with or without a cap since we offer both.  Maybe once they get a taste, they'll join both.

Well he tried to sign up once, and it wouldn't let him. Damn glitchy site!

Caught a HUGE break with the schedule. Open vs. an AI team, then have two days off to finish getting healthy. Then play Rustybladez to tune up for back-to-backs against thorn in-my-side Wylie and Atrain, followed by two more days off.

NHN@SSS August 9th and SSS@NHN Sept. 16. We go to St. Louis July 23rd.

In one of those little glitches that would only bother me, and only I would notice...

For the 6th straight season, I'll have two guys wearing uniform #78. Every rollover, I think it's going to correct itself. It never does.

I used to be interested in uni numbers.  But until they give players actual images/faces (and we know the odds of that), I kind of stopped even noticing uni numbers

Your player's average health is 57.9.
Give your players more time off or they could get injured.
Your starting goalie's health is 45.
Change to your backup goalie to give your starting goalie a break.
