Ok here's the plan. If we get enough teams we'll do group play where each team plays the rest of the teams in its group home and away and then a double elimination tournament. Teams would play rotating between home and away and the first to beat their opponent twice advances to the next round. Bold teams have clinched advancement. Italicized teams have been disqualified for inactivity. Bold and italicized teams are replacement teams. For round two the first team listed gets the first game at home and every possible odd numbered game after that.

Ok I deleted the American teams that dropped out of the league and I'm not inviting the new ones figuring they should play a season as a right of passage or something. Anyway, we've got 14 teams saying yes right now, one maybe (Animal7), and one no. Instead of the week ten deadline, I'm going to cut off registration after two more teams enter unless I get six really quickly. That way we will have 4 groups of 4 or 5 teams and the top two advance leaving us with eight teams for the double elimination tournament.

Count me in.

Ok with dennisdee and Animal7 deciding to play we have fifteen teams. One more and we'll be able to start. Although we shouldn't start till week 5 so everybody has their 1st round of free agents signed.

I agree and I just hope people accept challenges this time as well as send. When we get in the 12th-25th window, I am going to have a tougher time doing it since I've got limited and have to trust a friend to do it for me.

Right. Season 7 was a disaster for people scheduling. I'm thinking a one week (real life) window to get all of a team's group play games scheduled otherwise they forfeit.

Ok with the forums being shout down from June 15-17 we really need to get this rolling. Come on guys, we just need one more team.

OK with groups out everybody needs to schedule a home and away game against each team in their group. I've sent out my challenges. What should we make the scheduling deadline? Week 12? Results should either be posted here or sent to me via sitemail by the hometeam.

No you can accept as early as week five. That means the first round of free agents is signed. I'm wondering what people think is a good time that all games should be scheduled by.
