When you promote a minor league player up a level in the middle of the season, sometimes he gets a promotion boost immediately and sometimes he doesn't.  Do you know what factors if he gets a immediate boost or not?

In a division where everyone is just below .500.  My plan is to be competitive in 3 seasons.  Do I go ahead and promote Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Cristobal Johnson to the majors so I can win the division this year?

The "boosts" are just markers.   Generally, it revolves around when his last development marker was produced.   IOW, if he got one yesterday, he's not getting one today when you promote him.

I would but I never plan to be competitive in 3 seasons.   I plan to be competitive every season so I don't hold a lot of players back.

Assuming an average HOF class, would you throw a non-traditional vote at   Pete Case?

I'd consider him.  I'm sure you think his SB and D warrant it but his D isn't as special as you think, IMO.   

Using my PPPS(positive plays per season) formula, he's no  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Jamey Cambridge at 2nd.  He's between JC and Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Robin Petersen who I think should be the low end of fielding at 2B.

What if he hit homer? A lot of homer?

I'm not voting the fattest player into the HOF because he's the fattest.   I have to consider the value of what he did on the field.   What I see in Case is a slightly above average 2B who didn't hit much but stole a lot of bases.
