ASK THE MIKET23 THREAD, PT. 6 Topic

I recently climbed a very high mountain in Tibet to seek wisdom from the man that lived near the top. I got all of the way up there and noticed he had a laptop with his internet browser opened to the 'Ask the MikeT23 Thread'. I told him that I hoped he wasn't basing his supposedly legendary wisdom on what MikeTard23 has to say. All he said back was, "That's not a question." Then he said no more.

Aren't you ashamed of yourself for spreading your crap all over the world?

Not at all.

how confident are you in the yanks if they stay put heading into this season the way they are today?

They still need some infielders.    Jeter and Tex are question marks due to age/injury.   Johnson and Roberts look like the 3B/2B at this point.   C/OF/DH seem covered.  Pineda coming back at 100% would give them a solid rotation assuming Tanaka is all that.  Right now, I see them between 80-90 wins.  I don't think that's good enough to win the division.

probably a dumb question, but when has that stopped me before- do you consider 2 players with the same ops as equals? meaning if you have a guy who doesn't get on base a ton but hits homers so his ops is high and then a guy who hits for high average and has high obp but not much power, are they essentially the same? or would you prefer the homer guy because he can drive in more runs?

It would depend on my team.   If I've got plenty of power, I want the high OBP guy.   If I've got a team that gets on base a lot, I want the homer guy.   All things being equal, I'd take the homer guy because he's instant offense.   You can't build a successful team using them exclusively(I've tried) but, if you have a well-balance team, I like instant offense better.

If Old Spice made a sexy man right out of your son, would you be upset?

That seems like an odd question.

What is your reaction to the news that the Captain and Tennille are getting divorced?

Are you surprised that love, in fact, did NOT keep them together?

News to me.   Devastated.

40 years is a long time.

How should I set up my budget for an upcoming season, I have the #1 pick in the draft and usually I got 15 mil in HS scouting and 0 in college. Should I add the 4 mil to college to make sure I get the best player available in the draft?

Are you familiar with the commercial he is referring to?

With the first pick, I'd add the 4m.   Might not make a difference on who you see but the projections will be more accurate.   You can't miss with a top 3 pick, IMO, so you have to do everything possible to make sure you don't.

No.
