One of thee reasons:
1. Accuracy. Both are only vaguely acquainted with throwing the ball to receivers but Kizer is younger with a better throwing motion. GB may think they can "fix" him.
2. Intelligence. You're a cheesehead but I recall some questions about Hundley's ability to learn a playbook. Since McCarthy recently said "He wasn't ready", I suspect that's part of the reason. If you're not ready by your 3rd year, I'm not sure you'll be ready.
3. Money. May be as simple as that. Hundley's rookie deal has to be expiring. Kizer is a 2nd year guy.

I thought my pitching was going to be my Achilles heel, but so far they are league average.

I bet you're striking out a lot. You built a team based on power. But they are going to strikeout a lot and not draw nearly enough walks to make up for it. Your OBP will be low and, as a result, your homers will come with no one on base. So, yeah, your offense will not be good. I've made the same mistake.
