greeny9, one thing that you have going for you is that he will be on the DL during the regular season next year.  From what I have seen, the 20m medical issue isn't a problem during rollover, only during the season.  So, if you have a guy get injured for 3 months at the end of the season, you are unlikely to see the same injury recovery cycles, since he will be rehabbing in the offseason.

This hasn't been resolved.

Ya, I'd say this is BS.  I had a 29-year-old SS with 88 range suffer a season-ending hamstring injury last season.  He was down to 77 after the injury.  I had $16mil in medical last season and $18mil this season.  He didn't get any of that range back.

Not sure why $2mil in budget would make such a drastic difference.  On that note though, I should ask if anyone has seen these miracles with position players, or is it just pitchers?

I've only seen pitchers.

Any update on why this happened??

Has anyone sent in a ticket with specifics, rather than complaining about it in a non-"Suggestions" forum?
3/4/2011 2:57 PM
Well, there was a ticket in August.   And I sent another a few days ago.   So, if you're asking "Did the guy who bumped this thread send a ticket?", the answer is "yes".   However, I don't think I was complaining.   Just pointing it out so EVERYONE could take advantage of it if they so choose.

I'm sure this is a bug or glitch:

Are you aware of it?

Thanks

What is the bug that you are looking at? Thanks.
3/2/2011 1:31 PM MikeT23
Wow! Really?

You've got a 35 year old coming off a serious shoulder injury. He's the best he's been in 10 seasons, maybe his best ever, while on the DL. Over 4 injury recovery cycles, he's become a new man. I can't believe that's how it's supposed to work.

Thanks
Mike

Something definitely seems amiss. We will be looking into.
Thanks, Mike.

good job mike...thanks for the update

I'd recommend everyone move to 20m in medical and destroy their minor league pitching prospects with overuse until this is fixed.
3/8/2011 10:44 AM
I have had $20M in medical for a long time now . . . and I don't want it fixed.  Quit talking about it!
3/8/2011 11:03 AM

Do you try to injure your pitching prospects?    I think they'd gain more by being on the DL than they would by playing.

3/8/2011 11:05 AM
First, I hate injuries and would like to avoid them if at all possible.  However, given that they are unavoidable in this game, I try to minimize their damage with high medical as a matter of practice.  My owner history would clearly indicate that I have never given medical the short shrift even before I discovered this 'issue'.  That said, I have liked the occasional added bonus of a minor ratings bump after a minor injury - it helps lessen the sting from the many, many devastating injuries that some of my best players have suffered over the years.

Second, this does affect all players, including position players.  Check out Jared Buchanan's rating history.  That bump in power came after a short, minor injury in S17 and continued through S18.
