"Dynasty" might be a bit overblown, but you get the idea.  Your best run in a prog league.

I'm in a single-season prog (started in 1980), where my team's made the playoffs the last 7 seasons (1985-91), averaging nearly 104 wins a year.  Best seasons were 1990 (124 wins) and 1989 (114).  This season's team was the worst (89 wins) but managed to make it to the post-season due to a weak division.  The playoffs are just about to start.

Speaking of playoffs, that's the one sore spot with this team.  We've only won a single WS (1988, with a 98 win team).  We're a longshot this season, but who knows, maybe we get lucky before going into our rebuilding phase, which starts as soon as these playoffs conclude (1992 and '93 are going to be ugly).

We had a great offensive core on this team.  Players who were on the team the whole 7-year run included Rickey Henderson, Jack Clark, Carlton Fisk (our first three picks in the inaugural 1980 draft) and Julio Franco.  Others who put in multiple productive seasons included Kevin Mitchell (65 HR, 185 RBI in 1989), Danny Tartabull, Tim Wallach and Jody Reed.

Our pitching saw a much higher turnover rate, but stalwarts included Danny Cox (25 and 24 win seasons), Bobby Ojeda (103-52 career record), Joe Magrane (a 25-5 season, 73-19 career), Danny Jackson, Dave Stieb and Bob Milacki (the hero of the 88 WS team, going 2-0 with 2 saves and a .00 ERA in the postseason).

So let's hear about some other good prog runs...

I have never had a losing season in the only progressive I'm in. We're about to start the '89 season, my 9th season as the manager of the Cleveland franchise. (I also had the Seattle franchise for one season and it won 100+ games)

During my 8 year run I have made the playoffs 6 times and won the pennant 3 times. I have 0 world series titles, however.

My team has been a contact-hitting spark plug with solid pitching, featuring pitchers such as Frank Viola, Greg Swindell, Jimmy Key (until he was traded before the '88 draft), David Cone, and most recently Randy Johnson, and hitters such as Tony Pena (multiple .350 half-seasons), Julio Franco, Buddy Bell (multiple Gold Gloves), Dan Gladden, Pedro Guerrero (54 HR MVP season in '82), and recent selections Mark Grace and Juan Gonzalez (the latter of which admittedly won't contribute significantly until '91)

There were a few solid dynasties in my original progressive.

My Orioles won an average of 100 games per season from 1969-1978 and had 5 WS appearances in that span (2 wins).

Trentonjoe's Yankees won an average of 100 games per season from 1976-1983 and had 3 WS appearances (all 3 wins). (He may have been better, as 1983 was my last season in that league.)

Arzach42's Giants won an average of 100 games per season from 1969-1983, though he wasn't as lucky in the playoffs as he had only 2 WS appearances and lost both. (again, maybe even beyond that as '83 was my last season in the league.)

Dakar's White Sox won 109 games per season from 1979-1983 with 2 titles in 3 WS appearances. (and again, may have been even better as '83 was my last season).

My Yankees made the playoffs 12 or so years in a row.   We are totally rebuilding now.

The East Bayonne Early Birds (16 team, 4 division, 4 teams in playoffs) single season 1950's progressive may even be better.

The original Icon league started by ctorriente began in 1986 and is currently in it's 11th season. I took on the Cincinnati Reds, and after puttering through the first 2 seasons with 89 and 82 wins, things really took off and we're in the midst of a pretty nice run...

1988: 125-37 - Lost WS (CY: John Smiley)
1989: 111-51 - Won WS (MVP: Kevin Mitchell, CY: Tom Browning)
1990: 121-41 - Won WS (CY: Tom Browning)
1991: 132-30 - Won WS (MVP: Ruben Sierra, CY: Mike Morgan)
1992: 113-49 - Won WS (MVP: Terry Pendleton, CY: Greg Swindell)
1993: 94-68 - DNQ (CY: Jose Rijo)
1994: 116-46 - Won WS
1995: 107-55 - Lost NLCS (MVP: Dante Bichette)

The Reds currently sit at 37-24 in 1996 and are 7 games up in the division, so hopefully we can hang some more banners.

Wow, some impressive runs here.  minnow's 1988-92 averaging 120+ wins a seaon, with 5 WS appearances and 4 wins...best 5 year run ever?

It sucked being in Minnow's division...I am pretty sure he is like the smartest Canadian, ever.

I've finished 2nd place to minnow in that division a few times... it does suck being in that division with him. I thought I'd be unbeatable in 92-95, but nope... he still took the division 3 times in that span.

In the old Zimbabweguy Progressive league, jwilli ran the Pirates and had a run similar to minnows. It seemed like he was winning 120 games and the WS every season.

And I'm pretty sure in the original Contract Draft League toddleduc put up a great run where he won 4 straight titles....

In CLEWCW 's Triple Era progressive, my Striders won the division 8 straight times from 1958-1965. Two Series wins in there too. Won 100 games in 1966 but didn't make the playoffs. Rebuilding now in 1967. Had Mays, Koufax, and a consistently solid supporting cast.

In the TREX progressive I run, I have won the World Series 5 times in the league's 14 years. Mickey Mantle, Billy Pierce, and lots of friends....

My Yankees team in J4Me's league made the playoffs every year from 1974-1986.
