1968 Tiant with 260 innings
1915 Pete Alexander 402 innings
1917 cicottie 365 innings

I think i can prob manage a three man like that, im guessing i wont be able to go in order every start and may have to give a few to AAA starter but its do able correct? i havent played for quite a while

You will need 100 innings out of AAA, most likely. Tiant will have issues. I would probably go 4-man until the all-star break, then drop the 4th starter. And THEN give the AAA a start or two after the break (or the 4th starter that's now in your 'pen if you didn't waive him)

No problem petey's good for 60 starts just dont set your pitch count too high and put tiant on auto-skip when he's tired. with 1037 SP innings you shouldnt need any starts from AAA.

Well it will be live so i think i should be able to manage it. Ya i figured id be able to go Pete/eddie/pete/tiant when i have too.

I thought all you needed was 900 inning out of your starters? You are over 1000 and uncleal says you will need 100 out of a AAA guy.  Maybe I was mistaken.  Also just curious what kind of pen will you have with those starters. How many guys in the pen, how many innings pitched? right now in my league my bullpen is getting slammed.

You can just leave them in a three-man rotation if you want.  Pete can throw 111 pitches/game, Ciccotte 101, and Tiant 78, and they should be at 100% for each start.

i agree with skunk, i don't understand all the hoopla about making your starters fit the rotation...i've pitched a rotation of 150, 220, and 300 before. all that matters is that you have the right number of total innings, and you use all your best pitchers' innings.

what he said...

I've found that attempting to mess with rotations too much leads to appearance fatigue if you're not careful... especially to the pitcher who starts game 1 of the season...

I find fatigue issues with my pitching to be inconsistent from league to league. Maybe I am missing something that is happening differently in some leagues than others. That said, I agree with Skunk, and if you have to skip a start with Tiant, you can go back to back with Pete or Ciccotte. This is for an OL?

402/65*15=90
365/65*15=84
260/32*15=120
If Luis Tiant's IP/G is at least 8, that will work. If not, just bring him in for relief occasionally. Not that hard.

I'm reminded of 'Not Another Teen Movie', where given the task of turning the nerdy girl into a babe, they remove her dorky glasses and pony tail holder. "I'm a genius."

where'd you get those figures boogerlips?

you should be fine - I am currently doing a 3 man in a 1969 progressive with:

Bob Gibson - 314IP/105PC
Larry Dierker - 306IP/105PC
Sam McDowell - 287IP/100PC

I've had McDowell start at 98% once, but other than that they have been 100% every start

I'd run them in a 3-man with the following PC's:

Alexander - 105-115, pull 1, autorest 99
Cicotte - 105-115, pull 1, autorest 99
Tiant -  105-115, pull 1, autorest 99

This should end up with Pete throwing 63 games, Ed 58, and Luis 41...

and using my brother, just4me's "formula" of IP*1.1*16/GS I have the PC's as follows:

Alexander (63starts)- 105-115pc
Cicotti -  (58starts)- 105-115pc
Tiant - (41starts)- 105-115pc
