What's a good park for a $255 mil league? Topic

Haven't played a whole lot of 255 mil leagues.  Do I pick a hitter's park to take advantage of my hitting, a pitcher's park to neutralize the other teams' hitting?  My pitchers are all deadballers, low OAV, HR/9 < .1

everyone's pitchers will be deadballers!

at that cap it's all luck anyway, i'd go with Coors and hope that more runs make for more randomness.

I don't think it's all luck. Elbirdo has won just about every $255M league I've been in. He usually uses Coors.

It's not luck at all.  Greater fluctuations in performance, but far less luck than many seem to think.

when you win it's skill when you lose it's luck.

2/3 of owners will be in Coors. So, I'd pick something else.

I was going to say the same thing.  elbirdo is the master of high cap leagues.  I like to join a 180mil or higher from time to time and he always seems to win 115+ games. He always uses Ruth Clones as well.  I hate clones, but I guess that is the game at 255mil.

I am the same way.  But it seems if you want to win, you need to follow the heard a bit.

Runs scored are much higher in the higher caps leagues...it is always trying to outscore your opponent as R/G can be 10+. Deadball era pitchers plus Coors seems to be a good combo. And, you must use Ruth clones to have any chance.

Not true.  You don't have to have Ruth clones, deadball SPs, or an offensive park to win at high caps.  They're just like any other cap, in that there are many different ways to build winning teams.

I like offensive parks at high levels.
