I was looking at the performance stats for 1985 Dwight Gooden.  I was surprised to see that he was listed as playing 2 games at catcher.  How does one get a pitcher, who never played catcher, to be in that position?

you use  up your bench then a catcher needs to be replaced. or you play live and decide to do something weird.
