Was waiting to comment on the freshman until you finished posting the centers.  Needless to say I'm pleased with your rankings.

And I'm doubly glad I waited since you've updated them with growth.  I'm a bit surprised that they look as good today as I did preseason.  I ended up recruiting a bunch of idiot players and am spoon feeding them study hall minutes right now.  I figured they'd get passed by while I was doing that but I guess I recruited a good enough batch that they are keeping pace with everybody else.

Mt Ida, Becker, and Husson look really good thus far.

Elms freshmen have been pretty disappointing.  Are you scouting states, tyber?  If not, stop being stubborn!

Actually the Sim AI freshman are developing pretty nice all things considered.  That will be nice -- hopefully they get filled by humans in the next couple of seasons, but either way it will be better to have semi-decent players that are upperclassmen instead of terrible ones.

Well as far as predictions go, we were pretty close,
North
#1 Castleton St  15-1 exactly  15-1
#2 Lasel              12- 4  off by 1 loss
#3 Elms                 9- 7  off by  1 win
Johnson St   missed bad by 5 losses
#4 Becker             4- 12 exactly  4 -12
Husson         missed bad by 5 wins
so Husson and J State flipped places and the rest ended about on par for the course.

South
#1 Thomas          13 - 3  missed by 1 win
#2 MMA                 13 - 3  exactly right
Farmington            8  - 8  miss bad by 5 losses
#4 Pres Isle           6 -10 missed by 1 loss
Mt Ida                      5 -11  missed by 4 wins
#6 Salem St          1 - 15 missed by 1 win
Farmington and Mt Ida basically flipped places in the South, the rest was pretty well about where I thought they's end.

-Johnson State simply played like the sim they are this season and lost the games to the better human coached teams they should have lost last season.

-Husson simply outperformed my expectations from the get-go. They did very well and in my opinion they over-acheived for the youthful team they have.

-Coach Floyd at Farmington will probably be the first to say his guys underachieved this season. This was more like the season I felt might be comming next season after the sim recruited seniors leave. Getting this one out of the way may help next season be better... They won't get worse.

-Mt Ida is probably allways going to get the hose-job from me (in pre-season) as I am probably far harder on my kids than I am on others. I had hoped they would win half their games or more but really didn't expect to actually do it.

- all other teams really played about to the level they looked able to me to perform at.

*********************************

I'm not so sure about that.  I've got 6 seniors leaving.  While 5 of them were sim recruits, I will take a huge step backwards with IQs.  With the puny budgets we get in D3, I'll probably play with a short bench next season taking on 2 maybe 3 walkons.  I might add in a throw-away SR transfer.  I've got to concentrate my resources on getting players above my paygrade or I'll be stuck in the basement of the NAC forever.

Postseason Cash.

Thomas        NT   F4   =  $15,000
MMA               NT   F4   =  $15,000
Castleton St  NT  E8   =  $12,000
Lasell             NT S/16 =  $  9,000
Elms               NT      =      $  3,000
Husson          NT      =       $  3,000
Mt Ida              PIT  E8   =  $  3,000
-----------------------------------------------------
                                             $60,000
looks like & smells like, so it must be - $5,000 / team

Quick glance of openings coming up for the conference looks like:

26 spots to fill in the North and 26 spots to fill in the South.
52 open schollys to give out = $156,000  +  $60,000 Postseason bonus money = $216,000

There should be 6 teams with over $20,000 to spend this recruiting season, and 4 more with between $15,000 - $20,000... Merry Christmas to the NAC... provided we don't just all go out and blow our wad on hookers and booze for the kids to celebrate a great season... we should be able to anchor ourselves into the #1 conference spot for many seasons to come with this.

Congrats Gents

We are going to absoultely suck this season, but in the long run, we're going to be a much better team.

This will take you to my projections for most of this first class at UMPI. I don't have projections on Martinek coz I signed him for $110.

The fields highlighted in green are high-high potential, and I used the lowest value (28) for projection purposes, but of course it can be much higher...

Recruited Tuesday... pulled down a kid, spent a fortune on him since I was leaving for Vegas the next morning,,, logged on to see he was also considering Brandies... 5 openings and an A-... coulda just puked.
Spent the rest on Rose to be sure we had one of our pulldowns locked up... signed 2 very average guys for a HV and scholly.... overall, not a great class but about all I could expect being gone the entire week.

PG Rose       High - ath, speed, pe, bh
Ave   - rb, def, pass,st, dur,  ft
                       Low  - sb, lp,

PF Richmond  High - spd, blk, lp, pe, dur, ft
Ave  -  ath, df, bh, pass, st
Low -  only rb... he will seldom see the 4 spot and was taken to play the 3 in a couple seasons.

PF Heyward    High - rb, def, blk, pe, bh, st, dur
                          Med  - lp, pass
                          Low  - spd, ath, ft

BTW...Vegas was good
