boogerlips is a wiseguy sometimes, but I don't see what was wrong with his post in this thread.  I don't see what was wrong with any of contrarian23's posts, either.  thats_nice was the first guy who came in with a bit of mockery, and even that was fairly gentle. 

go_pre says he's been playing since 2002, and his latest ID shows a .593 winning percentage (without checking, I'd guess that's higher than anyone else's in this thread).  I imagine he's got SLB figured out pretty well already. 

I only mock (gently) because in essence what he's asking is; which players should I draft to beat you?

Combine that with some goofy statements:

1. Maddux and Pedro are only good for 24 starts. ( I get about 35, whats your max pitch count 150?)
2. you HAVE to have them in a 5 man rotation? (I prefer as part of a 3 man, 4 max)
3. I started "Go_Pre" about a month ago, to get a Fresh perspective? (your perspective changes when your alias does?)
4. once a owner name has gone HOF, most of the challenge goes away (Hall of fame isn't a challenge just have a .300 record and buy a whole bunch of teams. How is the sim easier once you become a HOF?)

If you have questions about how the sim works or about logic behind certain aspects of the game ask away. If you want guys to help you build a team that will win prepare for some dummies like me to mock a little.

Salary make a huge difference as does the makeup of your defense as well as the other teams in the league...  I am currently using 1908 Addie Joss (often considered a great value for a stud pitcher) in two leagues... 90M and 120M.

I think it's boogerlips or grizzly.  In any event, the ID put an end to miami_tilt's "I am the greatest" nonsense, so thumbs up for that.

I only play in theme leagues after 1960 so I've had great luck with Gaylord Perry and Don Sutton.

94 and 95 Maddux, 08 Joss, 03 Taylor, 292 inn. Mathewson, 296 inning Brown, some of the P. Martinez' (watch out for hr/9). For a 3rd pitcher that eats innings but can still win 301 inning Summers, T. Sparks, 319 inning Waddell.
If you want a 4 man rotation rather than 3... 2009 Lindcom, a Pedro, the best Lowe and  1 of the 2 best Peavys. The best W. Ford and Pettite also do well. I've had luck with Glavine as well. H. Krause also has good value as a 4th or 3rd (if other two have 340+ innings).
Hey, the only reason I read the forums is for the entertainment from people like Booger, so keep up the good work!

These guys are a good value in a 4-man rotation. 06 White has been great for me and Toney is a great value at 5.5 mil for 210 innings. I generally keep my 4 starters at a 80-95 pitch count and make sure I have plenty of innings in the bullpen to keep them fresh in a 4-man rotation during the grind of a 162 game + playoffs season.
