Nice.

Not all that long ago, in a league not so far away, I found myself struggling with pitcher fatigue. I ended up starting the 1974 Kline, set his pitch count to 90/90, his pull at 1 and removed the managerial abiltiy for him to be pinch hit for. He ended up pitching 7 innings of shut out ball and restored some stamina to the balance of my staff.

His reward was being cut off the team, but we looked over out shoulders favorably at the yoemen's effort and nodded a "thanks" .

There might be something to this Kline guy...I had him awhile back as a scrub and he pitched so well I threw him into some situational spots and Long Relief and he did fine...hmmmm.  If I remember his RL stats are pretty strong for 341K.  I don't have a team setup to draft so I can't look him up, but I'll have to remember him for the future.

Lol...I either called it or jinxed him, but Kline's stellar performance ended quickly: In his next appearance, he faced one batter and gave up a home run.

In an ironic twist, we lost the game, and Kline notched his 7th save as the closer for the other tream.

He does really well.  A diamond in the ruff (or rough).  I know an owner who uses him on just about all his teams as his closer.  He's on a few of his teams as the closer w/ 100 plus win teams.
