Assuming salary and roster size are not important and they had the exact same stats, would you rather a:

(1) 70 ip RP

or

(2) 35 ip rp  ?

I read this as 1x 70 IP guy or 2x 35 IP guys.  I'd use IP/G as a tiebreaker, and take the higher.  If there is no tiebreaker, give me two arms rather than one.

I would take the 2 x 35 IP guys IF there was no DH to allow for more PH opportunities.  Also the two RPs could have a lefty/righty advantage if that is in play as well.

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
Question 2:

Would you rather have a 70 IP pitcher with a 1.2 WHIP or a 35 IP with a 1.1 WHIP and a 35 IP pitcher with  a 1.3 WHIP.

This assumes 1.1 is very good, 1.2 good and 1.3 is useble.

All other stats would be of similar scale.

For me it would depend what spot you are planning to use them in.Like I would take the 2 & put the 1.1 at closer A & 1.3 at setup A.A lot of way to go with this or maybe you are looking for a long A guy then we are on the 1.2 70in guy.

2 arms give you more flexibility. 1 arm is easier to manage. so it depends on wether you're an active manager.
Q2 - even more reason to take the 2 arms.

In a vacuum, 2 arms again.

I have no confidence in this answer.  Now I want to see the rest of my staff.

I would base the decision primarily on whether 1 player or 2 players fit my roster better.  If the league has 6/2 AAA and I already have 16 other players I want to keep on my roster it might be advantageous to take the 1 guy so I can bring up all of my AAA.  If it doesn't make a difference for roster fitting I take the 2 guys because they use up an extra roster spot and I save 200k.

My sentiments exactly.

I find that my 35ip guys tend to underperform. And it's just so hard to keep them at 100%. If I did have 2 roster spots to fill, I would rather have another platoon on offense.

That said, I wouldn't want to have only 6 or 7 pitchers, so if that's a factor then I might take the 2.
