$255m: Stop me, please Topic

I'm fighting an urge to enter yet another $255m open league, despite my conviction that they are determined mostly by luck.

elbirdo's past success at $255 notwithstanding, the fact is that the winning teams in these leagues have rosters that are 85% the same.

I wonder if even elbirdo is succeeding in the current WIS environment as well as he used to do at the max-caps.

My last 255 team won 108 games, and then crapped out in the first round of the playoffs.

Why am I still thinking of joining another of these leagues? Stop me, please.

If someone consistently wins at something, it isn't luck.

I feel like a Newbie when I enter those leagues. Elbirdo always uses Babe Ruth clones.

$255 is overkill these days. $160-180 is plenty to field a team of killers

I agree completely. At 255, I either have multi-millions left over, or I draft Silver King as a mopup pitcher.

I don't think Babe clones is viable in 160 (I'm talking about Babe at LF, CF, RF, 1B), but definitely viable in 180.
