Jayson Durocher appreciation thread Topic

Jayson Paul Durocher born August 18, 1974 in Hartford, Connecticut) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Milwaukee Brewers

Specifically, he had one season over 25 IP in 2002 where he had a great year as a reliever. Then he somehow got hurt just 7 innings into the 2003 season and never pitched again.

I've used him 3 times in 3 progressive leagues and he's been awesome in all 3. He's also a good luck charm!

Portland Sea Dogs: 52 games, 48/49 in save chances, 46.3 IP, 0.97 ERA, team won world series
Boston Americans: 48 games, 40/45 in save chances, 44.3 IP, 2.23 ERA, team won world series
Bernie's Brewers: 53 games, 41/49 in save chances, 47.3 IP, 3.23 ERA, team lost world series (1st ever appearance in 22 seasons)

Here's what his RL stats look like:

Using him as we speak in a progressive and he is not fairing all that well.  1972/2002 split.  I might start the Jayson Durocher anti-appreciation thread!  : )  We are 144 games in.  You disappoint me Jayson!

Maybe he is tempermental and needs to be the closer.

The Americans and Brewers were single-season progressives so his competition wasn't as tough as your league... but the Sea Dogs play in a league that plays somewhere between a 120 and 140mil league.
