Those are the projected final numbers for this season's recruits. I can't seem to make it stay centered...evs. Anyway the green categories are high-high and that is the minimum expected based on +28, all things being equal...

if you think this is the bottom, just wait till next season, when tulsa hits an all new F-- prestige!
remember the glitch a few years ago when a D2 team (possibly Molloy in Allen) went winless for about 3-4 seasons and their prestige showed as A+?

Apparently it had gone to a level below D2 D- and became a D3 A+.

Last season #2   18 - 700 rated players to begin the season.... 23 to end it.
This season #3   21 - 700 rated players to begin the season.... 49 to end it.

It appears next season we could add as many as (15),  700 rated players more than we graduate. (I would think that season will be our first major break-thru season).  35-40, 700 or higher rated players in C-USA and we should see a significant change in those RPI's.

We finished seventh in conference recruiting, actually ahead of the Big Ten. That has to be a good sign ...

1. SEC: 39 recruits, 861 points
2. Big East: 40 recruits, 782 points
3. PAC 10: 38 recruits, 743 points
4. Big 12: 38 recruits, 705 points
5. ACC: 39 recruits, 692 points
6. Atlantic 10: 37 recruits, 643 points
7. Conference USA: 36 recruits, 599 points

Well we put 4 teams into the NT... ECU, UAB, Marshall, and Tulsa.
All lost in the first round as would be expected.
Memphis made the PIT in a weird turn of events... almost like they switched the names of Tulsa and Memphis...
Memphis played 2 rounds. I'm not sure if we all 5 were in the PIT if we'd have won it. Hard to say how good we really are right now.
But we're ALOT better than we were.

Our RPI's are a little manipulated right now... IMHO of course, but as is ezily done in HD... we are all good enough vets to schedule winable games in NC and then beat up on each other in conference and lower our RPI's to a nice looking position. After placing 4 in the NT... we should earn  $90,000 extra cash... which helps some... but the prestige boost should finally begin in earnest to move us upwards towards a place where some of us can begin to lure better players into the C-USA. We finished 6th in conference RPI... proabably about 7-10 right now actually... but 6th isn't too bad if it was legit. As empty as Rupp is until we get to 3rd-4th we really shouldn't feel that we are closing the gap on the better conferences. Until we begin signing those 3, 4, &... eventually 5* players... we really will be pretty ez 1st or 2nd round outs in the NT.
All that said... we are far ahead of where we came into DI 3 seasons ago... I would say the project is right on schedule.

Per Iggy / Ol 'W

I think the SEC comes out at close to $45k per team.
Well ahead of the Big Ten, Pac 10 and BigEast all in the low 20's.
Big 12 with 17k
ACC & A-10 both around 11k
C-USA  $7,500 smackers.
*note... the smackers comment was mine, not sure Old Iguana speaks that type groovy lingo

Interesting sidebar, The Horizon has just had about 5-6 established DII coaches move up and invade what was an empty conference. I think the only teams human coached were Acecards and professor17, both very good coaches to anchor a new "threat conference" to the big-6.
Hopefully they will take a cue from us and start a tracking thread for the Horizon. I may actually do it for em LOL.

"Rupp Revolution 2-12" has begun.
