I used 1930 Lefty O'Doul ($6.3 MM) in OL's a few times.  He swings a mean bat, but he doesn't begin to approach his glittering .383 BA/.453 OBP, and his defense is atrocious.

More to the point, every team I click on Lefty O'Doul in your post, my computer tries to draft Tilly Walker for one of my Draft Center teams.
