In the real 1994, Jeff Bagwell and Barry Bonds had roughly 475 PA apiece and Greg Maddux pitched 202 innings. In the WIS database, Bagwell and Bonds appear with about 675 PA apiece for 1994 and Maddux with 288 IP.
But the hitters' 2b, 3b and HR numbers are not similarly pro-rated to a 162-game equivalent. Why not? And what, if any, difference does it make? The team roster 162-game season projections show the pro-rated hit totals that the database does not.
Will Bagwell and Bonds play as if they were 50 HR hitters, or only 35 HR hitters?
