Thread is easy.  Constant media coverage of a guy who's hitting .260/.327/.325 is what really annoys me.  Your thread is actually pretty cool.  Sorry for the easily misinterpreted comment.

How does the biggest Star on the most successful and arguably most important franchise in the history of the sport not matter?  You are on him because he is in the waning years of an amazing career?  He still gets up everyday and laces them up and appears in the line-up and makes a positive affect on the team.  Was Yaz lighting it up at the end?  Should we watch broken down guys like Griffey Jr. and Thome limp to 600 hrs?

Is there someone out there that would better fill his position?  Give me the list of available SS that would be better at short for the Yankees. How about Hanley?  Boy I wish we had him this year.  In Jeter's down year in his prime he hit .297 with 191 hits and once had under 600 PA's (and hit .324 with an OBP of .393).  Spare me the Jeter is over rated BS.
