The passion is exactly why the Sox timed this mini-swoon.

Starting tonight, they beat the tar out of T.B., then lurch up on NYY by seasons end and cruise into the post-season on an emotional high!


So . . . how'd that work out this weekend?

Lester once again pitches not quite well enough to win in a big game, and Wakefield-Price was a no hope going in kind of game


Carl Crawford on the bench to start what was probably the biggest game of the season to this point....


all cured by taking two from the O's today......of course, easier said than done as Boston isn't just slumping, they are playing horrible, horrible baseball and Baltimore has been playing teams tough lately

I still have hope.  Day game woulda been extra innings if they hadn't screwed up the Ortiz ball.  and the nightcap the bats came back alive.  if they can hit again they might just get past the thin pitching and into the playoffs.  Still, can't believe its an open question at this point.

Just think...after taking 3 of 4 at Fenway, the O's get the chance to end the Red Sox season in Baltimore next weekend.  How sweet it would be.
