I am not sure what you are even asking... but no it is the prestige a school starts at as well as a major factor in your overall prestige each year.

not necessarily always resetting to B-, but in this case a two grade bump from a C is likely.

If you're comparing two teams that currently have a C prestige, (one with an original B- baseline and the other with a baseline C-), the B- baseline will move above that B- and maintain it with less on court success than what would be required of the C- baseline to hold a B-.

You also have to take into account conference prestige. Colorado and Nebraska (B- baseline) will move higher faster than Utah and UNLV (B baseline) if the Big 12 has a B prestige and the MWC has a C prestige.

I don't think conference prestige has anything to do with team prestige. Your baseline prestige + last year + last 3 seasons before + draft picks = your school's prestige is what I always thought it was. But that's just what I've been going by.

well wsut,  i'm taking over alcorn state. Too bad they won't let me do it and I am now stuck with a 4 FR sim class, with 2 of the players pretty much useless.

Conference prestige doesn't have anything to do with team prestige?  Then please do explain how 0-27 schools never drop below B+ prestige. 

Conference prestige has a TON to do with it.  ACC Allen is the THE example.  0-27 seasons from Maryland -> A- prestige:

Good luck. It's tough to find a non BCS school that's in decent shape. You'll have a few down years but one cycle and you'll be good to go. It's, in my opinion, the most fertile recruiting spot in Phelan although some of the Texas schools are getting it together so it may be different since I was there. Just make sure to protect your investments, you're obviously a stud at D3 and D2 but D1 is a totally different game when it comes to recruiting.

How does "baseline prestige" practically affect me today? In other words, if I take over a B baseline prestige while they're at a B- in a good conference (Va Tech in the ACC), can I get where I'm A+ each year eventually? If I was at UNC (A+, same conference), can I get to a B consistently? 

Question 2, same above examples, if I'm at an A with Va Tech and am consistently beating UNC (also an A now), is there any advantages to staying at Va Tech or are there any advantages to switching to UNC? 

Question 3: What's the advantage of taking a higher "baseline" prestige (UNC for example) that has a lower current prestige (if they were at an A-, while Va Tech is A)? Is there one? 

Obviously, this is a loaded question and I ask because I've made the NT over 4 years in a row- making it to the elite 8 or sweet 16 every year, and I can't crack the A barrier (except temporarily after the draft on some years).

1. Yes to both questions, but you'd risk being fired at UNC.
2. Switching to UNC is technically smarter - UNC will be easier to [get to/keep at] an A+.

Maybe Im dense...but I have no clue what any of this means and why I should care about it?
