this seems like a reasonable format, it's a good idea to just separate perimeter players and bigs

i agree...just wasn't sure how people would feel about the first and second teams potentially containing 10 players that play the same 2 positions
4/11/2011 4:02 PM
I think that would work pretty well, considering most people know the names of the best players, but not necessarily the positions they play at. I do like how this is coming to surface only after I have my first CPOY. Haters.

option #2 fasho
4/11/2011 4:17 PM
i sent mine via sitemail. if bow wants to use my format as the template, he can. its best to do them via sitemail so there is no groupthink.
4/11/2011 4:19 PM
Assuming #2 is the most popular option which it seems to be so far...

Would you all be happier voting for 10/6 or 8/5?  I do think we should vote for a couple extra even though we are only doing 2 teams.  I'm open to either option.  Ditto if people would rather to a top 3 for POTY/COTY/DPOTY/ROTY as I got via another sitemail suggestion

10/6 or 8/5?

4/11/2011 4:29 PM
yes...read option 2 =P
4/11/2011 4:31 PM
Still not following ya.
4/11/2011 5:00 PM
10 pg/sg/sf and 6 pf/c or 8 pg/sg/sf and 5 pf/c
4/11/2011 5:03 PM
That's what I thought you meant. Guess it just didn't make sense because that's not divisible by 3 and 2. Are you just saying that's how many we vote for and the final teams are going to be different?
4/11/2011 5:08 PM
there's only going to be 2 teams, so 6 little guys and 4 big guys.  so basically we can either have everyone vote for 6 and 4, 8 and 5, or 10 and 6.  i think we should have everyone vote for a couple extra guys as it may or may not help give a boost to some of the bubble guys and mix it up a bit.  but i'm open to whatever option people think is best
4/11/2011 5:20 PM
it should be a number divisible by the # that we have and it should be proportionate. so, it should by 6/4 or 9/6... personally, i think 6/4 is fine.
4/11/2011 5:45 PM
I dont think it needs to be divisible by the # we are using because we aren't doing a full HM or 3rd team.  But the more I think about it I do think fewer votes is going to be easier to work with.

So let's just do 6 and 4 for this season and next and see how it goes?

Here is our ballot. Please try to get them to me ASAP via SITEMAIL for this season as I'll be heading out of town in a couple days....
