I found it interesting that Washington drafted RGIII and then in the fourth round they drafted QB Kirk Cousins. I'm not sure what the thinking is there. Also Jaguars drafting a punter in the third round and maybe not even the best one available. He wouldn't have been there in the fifth round?

There's a reason these teams are consistently drafting early in the 1st round.

Most of the talking heads had Cousins late 2nd/early 3rd.   No reason to think the Skins didn't feel the same about him.    If they feel like RGIII is more Vick than Brady wrt to style of play, they also feel there's a chance he won't be starting every game over the next 4 seasons.    Drafting late 2nd quality in the early 4th isn't as dumb as it seems at first glance.    Hell, they might turn him into a 2nd round pick in a couple of seasons.   Teams are always looking for another competent QB.

weird *** 1st round. teams trading up and then taking strange players. guys falling or going way higher than expected. very strange

Agreed. Teams traded up to get tackles not named tunsil, bears moved up a few spots to draft a lb who would have been there any way. Giants drafted Apple at #10 when he would have been available late in the round.

Joseph was projected to late first round but Raiders took him at 14. At first I thought "WTF?" However, they needed secondary help and, if they felt he was the guy, trading down and hoping he was still there was a gamble not worth taking.

Jamal Adams ain't a bad pick. Maybe they'll screw up round #2?!?

they'll find a way to screw up the Adams pick. Maybe they'll try to play him at QB!

How did I know Cincy would take Mixon? Because, if there's a player with a troubled past, that's who they take. Then they wonder why they lead the league in most arrests.
