Upstate was nearly dethroned for the first time in Shootout history...but they ended up squeaking by Minnesota in the championship match. Upstate wins 5-4.

However, in the battle of the presumptive favorites for the Wooden D3 Championship, Hamline defeated RPI. So, in some ways, Minnesota can still be considered a winner here.

Consolation Match- Midwest vs. Michigan

Due to scheduling errors, only 6 games were played in the consolation match. After six games, we have a 3-3 tie. An idea was thrown out to use total points as a tiebreaker, and that seems fair to me. So we'll go with that.

So, next year will be a repeat of our last season's Shootout:
- Upstate vs. Michigan in the Championship Match
- Minnesota vs. Midwest in the Consolation Match.

Now it's time to continue scheduling next season's Shootout. As always, we will attempt to play 9 games. Hopefully this year we can cut down on some of the scheduling errors. I'll try and monitor the schedules a bit more to perhaps catch any mistakes that may arise.
