So I am looking for an opinion. Which is worse. Not having the 10 points on the board OR not having 100% usage. I understand if that gives away too much to someone's strategy but I am just curious.

I'd say not having the 10 usage points would be worse.

The best answer to that is on page 1 of this thread.

I've read that. My whole team building process is built on it. I think not having 10 on the floor would be the worse option but I wanted to see who else agreed based on the information at hand.

I've been away for 2+ years and just joined an open league and i'm not trying to say i'm better then anyone but it's very clear there is what i'll call a lot of "lazy" drafting. Why isn't this pinned. so BUMP

The innovator is back! I have the exact same starting five as you're running sitting in a draft center team. I just haven't pulled the trigger on any ol teams in a bit. Trying to find something new & different but always keep going back to the same old favorites.

May be a stupid question.

How does Sim factor the usage points at the beginning/end of a tier?

Example:
Tier 2: 13.7-17.5 (1)
Tier 3: 17.5- 22.1 (2)

Player has usage # 17.5 is he a 1 or a 2?

Great read.

That's a really good question.

If a player has 17.5 % usage, go to the draft center and for your filters put 17.5 as a lower bound. If the player still shows up, then he has more than 17.5 and if he doesn't, then he has less. WIS rounds everything so it is most likely that a player doesn't have exactly that amount of usage. If the player does have exactly that amount, I believe they are put into the higher tier, but using the filter will make sure you know for sure.

Thanks Ben. I appreciate the response.

I had a 17.5 player, so i ran two sets of filters (1) usage% 17.5 to 17.6 and (2) usage% 17.4 to 17.5. The player showed up under filter (2) and not under filter (1)...indicating the play was greater than 17.45, but less than 17.50. Therefore technically a tier 5 (1point) player not a tier 4 (2 points) player. But is it possible that for penalty purpose the sim would see the player as 2 points. In short does the sim round off too???
