Rules
Tiebreakers
Teams with equal wins and losses at the conclusion of the tournament will be further judged in the following way:
2 way tie:
1) Head-to-head winner “wins” the tie
Multiple teams:
1) Teams are considered as a subcategory and wins and losses against each other are calculated, with the team having the worst record being dropped from consideration.
2) If possible, repeat step one until only two teams remain at which point the head-to-head winner “wins” the tie. If at some point records between the teams are equal, move on to step three.
3) Margin of victory (or loss) is calculated for each team against other members of the subcategory. The bottom team will then be eliminated and the remaining teams will return to step two.
If the preceding tie-breakers are insufficient, the tie will be considered unbreakable.
Improperly Scheduled Games
1) All games should be scheduled according to the official schedule released in the forum and/or sent over sitemail.
2) If two teams schedule the game at the wrong location (i.e. A at B instead of B at A), the game will be considered null and the record of both teams will be (0-0) for that game.
3) If a game is not scheduled at all, the coach(es) responsible will be considered to have forfeited the game (0-1). Forfeits are counted as a two-point loss with respect to tie-breakers. If a game is not scheduled and one or both of the coaches is not responsible, the game will be considered a draw (0-0) for the teams who are not responsible.
4) Games scheduled at the correct location but during the wrong day will be counted, but this is frowned upon.
Scheduling
1. A base schedule has been created in which every team will play either two or three home games during the tournament. The participants will be run through a random number generator in all odd years to assign them randomly into one of the six spots.
2. In all even numbered years, the teams will play in the reverse location from the previous season (for example if A played at B in year one, B would play at A in year 2).
