His 1917 team is currently on pace to make the playoffs in my World Series theme. Will update here once the playoffs start.
Sure enough, wink's team won his division, with the #1 seed in the AL and the best overall record in the league:

1917 won their first playoff series and are currently ahead 2-1 in the LCS

The Cinderella story ended in the LCS....1917 fell to division-rival 1960 in 7 games. Still an incredible posthumous accomplishment by wink0094.

Warren Spahn update: His 1960 progressive season is now in the books. Spahn had an off year (for him), going 23-15 with a 4.24 ERA, but he kept the streak alive. 14 consecutive seasons with 20 or more wins (and 300 or more IP)!

How often do you see your teams leadoff hitter PH for, in the first PA of the game?

Thats right, leadoff hitter, pitcher, Al Widmar (who was on a 70/75 PC with a pull 1 setting), was PH for after throwing 18 pitches in the top half of the inning and allowing 2 runs on 2 hits thanks to a HR, and then was PH for to open the bottom of the 1st to turn this into an unplanned bullpen game.

The PH'er did get a hit, though!

But seriously, this is why I make sure to set Inning Availability for my RP's. And it's never a number lower than 6.

Agree, 100%

In the Eight is Enough League, which I believe was wink's last league entered, his team had the best record in the league with 104 wins. Unfortunately, as so often happens with the top teams in WIS, his juggernaut lost in the first round of the playoffs. But, also, an incredible posthumous achievement.

I'm sorry wink didn't win one more, but damn, that's impressive that he put together teams that could be so competitive two months after he passed.

1988 Rickey Henderson went wild on the basepaths in a recent game in an $80M theme league.

First plate appearance: walks, steals 2nd.
Second plate appearance: singles, steals 2nd and 3rd.
Third plate appearance: walks, no steal (slowpoke teammate on 2nd clogging things up)
Fourth plate appearance: singles, steals 2nd and 3rd.
Fifth plate appearance: hits into a fielder's choice, steals 2nd and 3rd.

So far he's 7/7 stealing.

Now we go to the bottom of the 9th, Rickey's team trailing 8-7, one out, nobody on.

Sixth plate appearance: walks, steals 2nd, 3rd AND home to tie the game!

So Rickey goes 10/10 on the basepaths, including that clutch steal of home in the 9th, and the Player of the Game goes to...Rickey's teammate who knocked in a single run the whole game (the winning run, but still).

Rickey: "Hey, Player of the Game decider, this is Rickey calling on behalf of Rickey. Rickey was robbed!"

Who was catching for the opposing team? The bat boy?

The catcher was 2019 Victor Caratini. D- arm (17% caught stealing percentage). Not great, but a rated actual catcher who sometimes throws runners out.

In the "Don't Give Up Hope/Underdogs" department.

1984 Space Age Progressive, my team the Seattle Suns had a 9 game lead with 17 games to go.

They proceed to lose 14 straight but manage to finish in a tie with 81 wins on the season.. They win the 1 game playoff.

Playoffs against 98 and 96 win teams they go 8-3 to win the WS.
