This once proud franchise has fallen on some hard times as its longtime owner has had to leave HBD with some health issues. You will have the opportunity to rebuild one of this world's best franchises, which has four WS appearances and two championships. This franchise resides in the NL East. They have always been (and will remain) the Washington D.C. Homestead Greys. bbqjason, a founding member of this league, has rejoined us by claiming this squad.

Our next franchise has been a bit of a nomad, moving to several different cities with limited success. There are a couple of good pieces here, but this franchise needs some work to become competitive in the AL North. They've most recently been the Toledo Rays. trsnoke has claimed this squad, which he previously owned for several seasons.

Our next franchise has enjoyed a very nice recent run of success, making six straight playoff appearances (five division titles) and advancing as far as the World Series in season 19. But, they've fallen back to .500 the last two seasons and are looking for the right owner to return them to the playoffs in the AL East. They have been the Buffalo Colored Giants.

If you'd like to inherit a 102-win team (and who wouldn't), here's your squad. The owner, jptrainwreck, is staying with us, but taking over another franchise that he previously owned. The cupboard is plenty full here for another deep playoff run from the NL East. They're currently the Charlotte Black Hornets.

Finally, another very solid franchise in the AL South. This squad took home the title in season 17 as part of four straight division titles, and has seven winning seasons out of the last eight at the ML level. They are currently the Memphis Red Sox.

But wait! There's more! Just found out that another owner will not be returning. One of the best Negro League franchises ever, the Indianapolis Clowns. The previous owner led them to four straight playoff appearances, including a WS appearance, before they fell back to .500 this season.
We're looking for experienced owners with some track record of success to take over this
these three four five two franchise. Please sitemail me if you're interested, and see the very first post of this thread for the world rules. Thanks!
