I think it's reasonable to think that Scherzer would have allowed another run or run-and-a-half per nine pitching in Min in front of that horrible defense in 2000. Which would put him right around Radke's total.
Because stats told you so?
No, because offenses were better in 2000.
Again, so what? No one is disputing that Scherzer would give up more runs. But he is a better pitcher than Radke. You're a fool to think his ERA would jump from 2.98 to 4.41 and his Ks would be cut in half merely by pitching in 2000.
I think a drop from 2.98 to 3.50 is reasonable. Even if it falls to 3.75 he's still better than Radke. And his Ks were 11.2/9 innings. I don't see that dropping below 8, which is still well above Radke.
You're being really dumb in this debate because you're jumping to irrational conclusions. You are correct in saying offenses were better in 2000 and that Scherzer would put up worse numbers back then. Where you lose everyone (and sound completely retarded) is when you say "Offenses were better in 2000 and Scherzer would put up worse numbers. Therefore, he'd put up the same numbers as Radke."
He wouldn't. And there is nothing at all to suggest that.
