I don't see a problem. He threw 226 innings and he was 16% better than average at allowing earned runs that year. There's a lot of value in that.

Looks like you're the one having a hard time with context. In a vacuum, Radke's ERA was bad. But in the context of the high run scoring environment of 2000, throwing 226 IP at an earned run rate better than most other pitchers was very valuable.

He surrendered 261 base hits in 226 IP. He had a 1.37 WHIP.

If you're going to use ERA+ and WAR to justify saying "Hells yeah, I gotta get me some of that", you're gonna look like an idiot.

Sorry, but you're ignoring the context.

The context is you looking like an idiot. You made a stupid statement and, in true badluck fashion, dig your his in to defend thus making yourself look dumber by the day.

Radke made $63mil in his career and Hunter like $3mil. Radke doesn't care how much better Hunter was. Catfish was a dominant pitcher for about 7-8 yrs, actually longer than Pedro and Koufax were so he is definitely HOF material. And Pedro made $146mil...he was slightly better than Real as Radke.

As a whole, Radke was just meh. Probably a little worse than Hunter.
