And, regardless of what Obama said in his speech, the goal of the bailout wasn't profit (or breaking even). Otherwise, a bailout wouldn't have been necessary. A government bailout is, by definition, a losing proposition.

And Bush was the one that put it place. And what jobs are you talking about?

1) Because the bailout was the right move
2) Because political speeches are just shows. Almost everything said in them is worth ignoring.
