im about to finsh my first season and i went 19-7 in the regular season and lost in the conference semis and will found if i make the NT should i try D2 next year or stay in D3 not sure need to know

pats - stay in D3, you need to stay a few years to recruit and play with your own players. When you are consistently making the NT with your own players then I think it is a good idea to move up if you want. Or you could always have multiple teams. I currently have 5 teams (3 D-3 and 2 D-2) and it has definitely made me a better coach, heck I even played in the D3 Tark Championship this season.

I lost the an undefeated team... My team finished 30-5. Best season in WIS though

I had high hopes for the season... never imagined I'd play for the NC. I am returning a great team next year and now have much higher expectations than before

Great post ae, much thanks. It feels good to see some verification of a few things I have been doing but had no idea if better options existed.

I was just hoping for a quick clarification on distribution; so all of your players are either set to a 0, 1, 2, or 3? It makes sense, I have just always liked to be more specific and nit-picky with my game-plan between good & better scorers and varying that depending on opponent. Any other opinions on distro?

No, if you want to overthink your distro, you can. You could continue to tweak it based on their TS% and TO% (or just eye test their overall efficiency). You can use higher numbers. It doesn't really matter, honestly, do whatever makes you feel perfectly about the team, I've just never found it to be that important outside of making sure non-scorers are set at zero. I think right now one of my teams has 5-1-1-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 or something, another one has like 1-1-1-1-1-0-0-0-0-0 or something, so I just use whatever I think is best. Use big numbers if you please, but no need to make them add up to anywhere near 100.
